Whilst under lockdown we have won an award!
We were recently entered into the regional RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Social Impact Awards for our new build on Hyde Road, Gorton. This award is the only nationally recognised awards applauding the built environment’s positive and transformative contribution to society.
Guess what? We won!
We not only won the award for Leisure (an award for a leisure or tourism project, including hotels, tourist attractions, venues and community centres and sporting facilities), but we also won The Project of the Year!
We are now being put forward to the National Awards in September.
Please pray, not for more awards, but for the work that we are doing, for the heart of why do it and for the lives which are being transformed.
A huge thanks must go to Simon Cook, Trustee of Oasis and Managing Director of Roger Hannah. Simon’s involvement goes all the way back to the search for a site which started some 6 years ago and he has put the full services of Roger Hannah at our disposal throughout the acquisition and development stages.
Also, a special thanks to Grays Architecture, Watson Homes, Wilkinson Cowan Partnership and Manchester City Council.
And thanks to you all, for your prayers, your partnership and your invaluable contributions through volunteering and your financial giving – we could not have come this far without you.
