Last week at Oasis we were able to bless people and families in our community suffering food poverty with 100’s of Easter eggs! Disley Primary School, St Mary’s and St Philips Nether Alderley generously donated eggs which we distributed through our emergency food pack programme to local individuals, families, and schools in need. THANK YOU to all those who kindly donated.
As we witness the spring sunshine and as we journey out of lockdown together, we are excited at the prospect of better times ahead, an end to isolation and a move to community and family which is what we are all about here at Oasis! The Easter story of Jesus’ resurrection is full of that same message of hope.
From all of us at Oasis we send you our love and we pray your Easter holidays and this springtime bring you renewed hope, joy, peace, and happiness as you spend more time with your loved ones.
“We have had the privileged to support hundreds of families through the pandemic who have been in despite need. One family of 10 hit hard times right at the beginning of lockdown. Dad became unwell and could no longer work due to being in and out of hospital on a regular basis. Mum is on zero contract hours which as you can imagine has dramatically impacted the family through lockdown. They just could not bring in enough money to feed and clothe their children. Oasis has been able to feed this precious family for the past 12 months. Sure Start said we have been a life line to them. They were absolutely delighted to receive Easter eggs for the entire family including mum and dad!” Dushy – Centre Manager
